Enameled household utensils have long been widely used in the kitchen. They can be steel, iron or cast iron, coated with enamel/glass-ceramic coating/baked at high temperature. The enamel does not allow the base metal to come into contact with the food being prepared, therefore no harmful substances can be released into it, which subsequently accumulate in the body after consumption. The dishes are easy to clean and even the use of household metal wire would hardly affect the integrity of their enamel coating.
