Teflon has physical and chemical properties that can not be reached by other plastic materials-excellent heat resistance, high resistance to solvents, excellent aging resistance. All these properties plus its low cofficient of friction are the reasons for wide application as coating for pans, pots and other kitchen food ware. To protect for a long time teflon vessels should be used with wood mixers and teflon instruments. When cleaning out the vats must not use any abrasive materials and should not scrub themselves-the reason its surface very fragile. After cooking in them they are washed with a sponge and washing-up liquid.
